Australia’s Comfort Company

Answer Air Services has met some of Sydney’s most complex system demands in wide ranging facilities, keeping business moving, people comfortable and equipment and produce safe. We design systems that are not only the most energy efficient, but also the most cost effective to meet all of our client’s needs.

THE CONCEPT

Our design engineers work closely with the client, designers, architects and interior design consultants to determine the key focuses and the required goals for the project. It is our job then to integrate a seamless design that firstly ensures all minimum recommended requirements are met i.e. BCA, Section J, AS1668.1 & AS1668.2 etc.; but also provides constant hassle free comfort for whichever application required. It is known fact that 40-60% of energy used in commercial buildings can come from mechanical services equipment; hence it is critical that a good design criterion is adopted. Many issues arise after the job is completed that relate directly to poor design; including staff discomfort, inadequate ventilation, poor indoor air quality, incorrect equipment selection etc. etc. Working from initial drafting board drawings or a general set of building plans, our design engineers can create a detailed set of HVAC and Mechanical Services plans ready for construction and fabrication. Answer Air Services uses the latest HVAC software and Auto CAD to work efficiently with all members of your team, including construction managers, project managers and general contractors. Ensuring all aspects of the spectrum are covered, including cost, aesthetics, comfort and energy efficiency.

ESTIMATION AND PRICING by a mechanical contractor

ESTIMATION AND PRICING

A trouble free and cost effective system starts with a good design, whether this is a tender proposal from a consulting engineer, a set of specifications from an Architect or interior designer, or our own concept plans, Answer Air Services has the team at hand to provide detailed proposals for the complete fit-out and installation of all mechanical services equipment. Regardless of whether the scope is a simple roof mounted package unit or a complex Multi-Level VRF System, our estimators are ready and focused on providing whatever it is the client is after, a budget estimate for an upcoming project, a tender proposal for consulting engineers or a complete packaged design and construct project quotation.

CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION

Equally as important as a concept and design the construction side of Answer Air Services is just as unique. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work. Just like the design phase, the construction team also need to understand the client’s requirements. This is implemented through our Senior Installation Supervisors, who are onsite on a daily basis ensuring all the equipment is installed correctly and the work is progressing at a pace relevant to other works and meeting the requirements of the construction managers and project managers. Our supervisors also provide ongoing updates on a regular basis and keep the communication flowing, which is often the key to a successful fitout. All our onsite staff are continually up skilled in OH & S requirements and have all the necessary licensing to ensure compliance with all Australian and local standards.

Frequently Asked Question

Design & Construct is a method where one entity, the design-build team, works under a single contract with the project owner to provide design and construction services. This method aims to minimise risks for the project owner and reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design phase and construction phase of a project.

Unlike traditional project delivery methods where design and construction are separate contracts (design-bid-build), Design & Construct combines these services into one contract. This approach allows for more efficient communication and coordination between the design and construction teams, potentially leading to time and cost savings.

A mechanical contractor is a professional who specialises in the construction and renovation of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration. They work on both residential and commercial projects, often coordinating with other contractors to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, or repair of these systems.

When hiring a mechanical contractor, consider their experience, qualifications, and reputation. Check if they are licensed and insured, and ask for references from previous clients. It's also important to ensure they have experience with the specific type of project you have in mind.
